Safeway Employee the Center of Community Support

James O’Neal works for a Safeway in Kirkland, Washington. In March, some of the loyal shoppers of his store started Friends of James O’Neal. Because his insurance no longer covers the surgical removals of his facial tumors, James now has significant facial disfiguration. The organizers hope to raise the funds necessary for James to receive the medical and recovery services that are currently beyond his insurance coverage.

Companies, such as Safeway and Bank of America, have also pitched into the effort. Local KOMO TV is also accepting donations on their behalf.
